A trommel screen (also known as a rotary screen) is a mechanical screening machine used to separate materials, primarily in the waste processing, mining, and compost industries. It consists of a rotating cylindrical drum that is perforated with holes. As the drum rotates, material is fed into it and the finer particles fall through the holes while larger material exits at the end of the drum.
